Tiziana "Tosca" Donati debuted at the beginning of the 90s under the tutelage of Renzo Arbore, and her musical career skyrocketed from there while collaborating with some of the biggest names in the industry: Lucio Dalla, Renato Zero, Ivano Fossati, to name just a few. In 1996 she won the Sanremo Festival with "Vorrei incontrarti tra cent'anni" – a duet with Ron.

She has released ten albums including L'altra Tosca, which is a collection of her most important collaborations, and Incontri e Passaggi, for which she won the best performer award at TARGA TENCO.

Alongside her musical career, Tosca is active in the theatre - one of her great passions. She has held lead roles in a number of shows, for example, I monologhi della vagina, Romana - Omaggio a Gabriella Ferri, Gastone, La strada, Musicanti, Il borghese gentiluomo, Zoom spartito cinematografico, Italiane, Semo o nun semo, Esperanto,‘Sto core mio – Notturno napoletano per Roberto Murolo.

Il Suono della Voce abum, released under the Sony Classic label, came out in September 2014 and that same year the show "Il Suono della Voce, Confini e Sconfini di un Viaggio in Musica" debuted. After this, she was nominated Director of the Song Section of the Officina delle Arti Pier Paolo Pasolini – an academy for Performing and Visual Arts in Rome. Strongly dedicated to this social and cultural role, she is often defined as a "pasionaria" of independent Italian singer-songwriter music highlighting her commitment to the education of young artists.

In March 2015 she launched a theatrical performance of Charlie Chaplin's "The Great Dictator". In 2016 Tosca was the first Italian female artist to be invited to the International “Jazz à Carthage” Festival in Tunisia, and to the Auditorium de Radio Algérienne in Algiers. Both concerts were highly acclaimed. 

In August 2017 she was asked to open the Rimini Meeting with a concert for Peace that she created with Massimo Venturiello, and with the participation of the Syrian and Lebanese singers Mirna Kassis and Tania Kassis. Still in August, Carmen Consoli, the Concert Master of the 19th edition of "La Notte della Taranta", invited Tosca to perform on the famous stage of Melpignano together with Fiorella Mannoia and Nada.

In November 2017 her new live album (produced by Leave Music and Officina Teatrale and distributed by Sony Music Italia) Appunti Musicali dal Mondo – Live was released. It was recorded during her sold-out concert in Rome’s Auditorium Parco della Musica and features special guests like Nicola Piovani, Danilo Rea and GeGè Telesforo. 

In June Giovanni Floris invited Tosca to perform the 2017 season finale theme song for his "Di Martedì" program on LA7 which gave birth to the her splendid French interpretation of "Sixteen Tons".

She is currently busy with live performances, the education of the young artists in Officina delle Arti Pier Paolo Pasolini Academy, and study and research for parallel projects like the documentary co-produced by Rai Cinema and funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which will take her around the world to discover cultures and tradition of countries near and far, guided by the local artists.
