THE BOOMTOWN RATS are Bob Geldof, Garry Roberts, Pete Briquette & Simon Crowe

Formed in 1975 in Dublin and quickly rising to fame alongside the likes of Ramones, Talking Heads, Sex Pistols, The Clash, etc...THE BOOMTOWN RATS with frontman Bob Geldof released six defining albums in the Punk Rock and New Wave era of the late 70s and early 80s with a string of #1 hits and multiple awards including a Grammy Award. “I don’t like Mondays” topped the charts in 32 countries After splitting up in 1986, the band made a triumphant return to live music in 2013 at the Isle of Wight Festival, and is available for major festival shows throughout 2017. The show is 75 minutes long and includes nine Top 20 Charts hits. Travel party is 14, on stage 6. Recent shows have also included the Danube Island Festival in Vienna (80.000 pax audience), Electric Picnic (Ireland) and Kivenlahti Rock (Finland). 

2017 marks the 40th anniversary of the release of the band’s first single (“Looking after No. 1"), which will be celebrated with brand-new songs, remixes and extensive touring.
