Refugees for Refugees

Refugees for Refugees
Refugees for Refugees band came to existence after the release of the album ‘Amerli’ in May 2016. Ten of the musicians who had collaborated on the album, decided to create a ‘band of refugees’ under the leadership of the Belgian ûd player, Tristan Driessens.
The band builds musical bridges between the different traditions they represent, which results in shows that are musically innovative, entertaining, and at the same time convey a message of richness that stems from cultural diversity.
Refugees for Refugees performed on prestigious stages such as Music Meeting (Nijmegen, NL) – Muziekpublique (BE) – Festival d’Art de Huy (BE) – Espéranzah! (BE) – Festival de Wallonie (BE) – Festival Rencontres Inattendues (BE) – Festival of Flanders (BE)
