Mario Venuti

Born on October 28, 1963, at the beginning of the 80s Mario lives is in Catania, where he meets three young musicians with whom he founded the band Denovo.
He debuts as a soloist in 1994 with the album "Un po’ di febbre" (1994), the single "Fortuna" became a radio hit, so convincing that it even yielded a cover in portuguese
by “Brazilian Love Affairs”.

In 1996, with the album “Microclima” he received “Max Generation Award”.
In 1997 he takes part in the Sanremo Young festival with the song "Il più bravo del reame", anticipating "Mai come ieri", the album that will consecrate the position of Mario Venuti, above all thanks to the very successful duet with Carmen Consoli.

In January 2003, the album “GrandiImprese” was released: ten songs, anticipated by the single “Veramente”, including a cover of “Monnalisa” by Ivan Graziani. Mario's popularity explodes through the radio and television stations that continuously broadcast “Veramente” and the relative video clip.
In March 2004, Mario returns to the Sanremo Festival, for the 54th edition: his song "Crudele" wins two important and prestigious awards: “Mia Martini Award” and “Radio and TV Private Award. ".

On March 3, 2006, for Universal, "Magneti" was released, with "Un altropostonelmondo" it was then nominated for “NastriD'Argento” in 2008.
In October 2009 Mario releases his seventh solo album "Recidivo".
Also in October 2009, the release of The Universal Music Collection, 5 CDs that testify to a long career and a DVD with images of the concert of the Ancient Theater of Taormina in 2006.

In 2012 Mario releases "L’ultimo romantico".
In September 2014 the album "Il Tramontodell'Occidente" was released, written and set to music with Francesco Bianconi (Baustelle) and Kaballà.
In 2016 he decided to revisit in jazz version with Urban Fabula band for a new project “Mario meets Jazz”, that includes some classics italian and international songs, and part of his repertoire.
In 2017 was released "Motore di Vita" (Microclima-Puntoeacapo / Believe Digital).

In 2019 the 10th album SOYUZ 10, from which three singles are extracted: "Il pubblicoseitu", "Ciao Cuore", and "Silenzio al silenzio".
In March 2020, the "Casacasa Live Session" series wasreleased on the official YT channel: a collection of seven live shows in which the artist performed some of his most famous songs directly from his living room. 

Since May 7th, 2021 Mario Venuti is back with a preview of a new project, a concept album, in which he enjoys playing, returning to worlds he had already touched while writing Fortuna and which have always characterized his style. With the artistic production of Tony Canto, Mario Venuti becomes pure interpreter, re-reading some popular pieces of the Italian song, choosing from different periods and genres to draw an original theme and develop a single compositional story in which each piece traces a clear line that unites the Italian song in the tropics. eg. But what cold is it, written by Claudio Mattone and Franco Migliacci and interpreted in the 1969 Sanremo by Nada, becomes an engaging samba-pagode.

On September 17th the full album will be released and the tour of the Sicilian artist will begin, accompanied by his band, in which he will give us the opportunity to listen to the songs of his project, as well as his most famous repertoire.
